Tournament Selection

Whitney Beck, USGA P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Intern

Tournament Selection is off to a running start! Last Wednesday we started the selection process with those who have been members since 2007 or before being allowed to have their first pick at the 2010 Summer Series schedule. Let me tell you that day was a crazy one; I don’t think the phone stopped ringing all day, which is great! We want you to know we are always here to help and enjoy speaking to our members.

Thursday, March 18 began Day 2 of tournament selection, with those who have been members since 2008, followed by those who have been members since 2009 being able to select tournaments on Friday, March 19. We opened the tournament selection process to new 2010 members on Wednesday of this week. This was a fun day, being available to help those who are first time members get more familiar with Atlanta Junior Golf and the tournament selection process.

Remember if you haven’t signed up for any tournaments yet you are allowed to pick 6 events, and then starting May 19 all remaining tee times in events will be available for players on a first-come, first-serve basis. After this date there is no maximum number of events in which a player may participate, provided there is space remaining in tournaments within your division.

Also, if you have any friends interested in participating in Atlanta Junior Golf tournaments this summer direct them to our website www.atlantajuniorgolf.org, it is full of helpful information for them to get started or tell them to call us at the office 770.850.9040, we would love to help.

See you on the course!
