Atlanta Junior Golf Divisions & Fees

Please read the descriptions carefully to determine which division is appropriate for your skill level. Fees listed below are in addition to a $95 non-refundable, yearly membership fee that applies to all divisions.

Division guidelines are defined to ensure that all participants compete in an environment that is properly suited to their skill level. It is extremely important for all players to select the correct division when registering for membership. Players who score outside the prescribed guidelines for their division during the Summer Series will be subject to review under our Wrong Division Policy and may be required to forfeit points already earned and change divisions mid-season. If you are unsure about which division is most appropriate, please review our Guide to Getting Started or contact us.

A junior golfer's age as of June 1 during the current year determines the age for the entire calendar year.

Beginner Division
$15 per event

Juniors play 9 holes on a par-3 or “executive” golf course in this co-ed division. There are no skill requirements, as the primary focus in this division is education, camaraderie, and fun. The tournaments are non-competitive (although scores are tallied and posted) and no awards are given to top finishers. There is a maximum 10 stroke limit per hole, the walk-around rule and the double-par rule are effect, and caddies are allowed. Upon conclusion of most events, a brief skills challenge is conducted for all participants.

Juniors should:

  • Have their own equipment

  • Have been previously introduced to the game

  • Have some knowledge of golf course etiquette
  • Must fulfill requirements of the Rules Education Policy
