Community Involvement
In recent years, Atlanta Junior Golf has significantly expanded
its involvement within the metro Atlanta community outside the golf industry.
You will find details about a few of our community programs below.
Starlight Children's Foundation
Each summer, Atlanta Junior Golf staff members, volunteers, players and
parents host children from the Starlight Children's Foundation for the
Atlanta Junior Golf-Starlight Children's Foundation Golf Day. This exciting
day introduces children from the Starlight Foundation to the game of golf
and helps to illustrate, to all in attendance, just how much fun golf can
be!

Each winter, Atlanta Junior Golf participates in the Children's Healthcare
of Atlanta (CHOA) Festival of Trees. Because of the kindness and support of
our members and their families each year, we are able to decorate a "golf-themed"
holiday tree that typically raises between $500-$1,000 for CHOA.
If you have any
items you would like to donate to this effort (a visor from your favorite
golf course, greens fees for a round of golf, golf-related ornaments, etc.),
please contact our office to coordinate a pick-up or drop-off time.

Jr. Ambassadors Program
Annual Project
The current class of Jr. Ambassadors is responsible for
planning and executing one community service project while
participating in the program. This project may differ on an
annual basis and is coordinated entirely by the Jr. Ambassadors
team, in consultation with the Atlanta Junior Golf staff.
Please visit our Jr.
Ambassadors page to learn more about this exciting
leadership development program.
Other Projects
If you have an idea for another Atlanta Junior Golf community
involvement program, please contact us - we welcome
all of your suggestions!
