How do you register for membership?

Membership registration is available online. Email reminders are sent to returning members each year notifying them when sign-up has started. Typically, registration for the next season begins in December. There is no membership registration deadline.

At what age can we start our junior golfer in your program?

Juniors may start in Atlanta Junior Golf at age 7 (Please note that a junior golfer's age as of June 1 during the current year determines the age for the entire calendar year).

My child has played golf at our course for 3 years and he/she knows all the Rules. Does he/she have to attend the Rules Seminar?

First and second year members must attend an Orientation Seminar and a Rules Seminar, respectively. Juniors who have been members for 3 years or longer must take and pass an online Rules Quiz. Please see the Rules Education Policy for more details.

What does the membership fee cover?

The membership fee includes the extensive Membership Benefits packet (which includes several gift items - hat, towel, or other similar gifts - member bag tag, Rules of Golf book, etc.), eligibility to participate in the Summer Series tournaments and the opportunity to qualify for season-ending championships, access to play in spring and fall tournaments, and the chance to experience many special events, including the Georgia Cup, Atlanta-Kauai Team Challenge, and College Day. Summer Series tournament entry fees vary by division and currently range from $15-$30 per tournament.

When will we be receiving the information about the special events?

All the information along with the online entry forms can be found within this website. Invitations to season-ending championships are sent, in most cases, the week before the event. Invitations for the Awards Banquet are mailed separately. Typically, notifications for events arrive via email. Please be sure to review our suggestions for communicating with our office.

Will we get into an event if we register after the deadline stated on the website?

No. All entries must be entered into the online system before the stated deadline. The system will not allow you to register for a tournament once the deadline has passed.

How do we get to the office?

I missed my Orientation or Rules Seminar, what happens next? Is there a make up session?

If there is another Orientation Seminar or Rules Seminar scheduled, you may attend one of those. If there are no other seminars scheduled, you will be ineligible to play in Summer Series tournaments but will be eligible for the fall tournament series. Please note that your membership fee will NOT be refunded. See the Rules Education Policy for more information.

How do I get a spectator cart to follow a junior golfer during an event?

In order to avoid unnecessary distractions to all competitors and to ensure that every tournament is conducted with strict adherence to the Rules of Golf, spectator carts are prohibited during all Atlanta Junior Golf tournaments and events. Spectators must walk at all times while observing play.

However, individuals who are able to demonstrate a physical disability through proper documentation may request the use of a cart upon arrival at each tournament site. For more information, please review our Spectator Cart Policy.
