9-Hole Classic

The 9-Hole Classic is conducted at the end of the season at one of Atlanta's premier golf courses. The field is comprised of the top 9-Hole Open Division players from each of the 9-Hole Open Division age groups. This two-day, 18-hole competition (9 holes each day) is designed to ready those players who desire advancement to the 18-Hole Division.

Qualifications for Entry*

  • All qualifiers must be current AJG Members and have participated in at least five Summer Series tournaments during the current year

  • Previous year's 9-Hole Classic champions, if still competing in 9-Hole Open Division

  • Previous year's Players of the Year from the 9-Hole Open Division currently playing in the 9-Hole Open Division

  • 9-Hole Open Division players placing first in their respective age groups in three Summer Series events, during the current year, and having neither a NS nor an NC

  • Top three finishers in each division of the 9-Hole Club Championship

  • Remaining players qualify on points (all ties for final spots in each age group qualify)

Field Composition and Points

The field composition is dependent upon the total number of players in each age group.
Double points are awarded to the top finishers.

*The general information included above does not constitute an invitation to participate in the 9-Hole Classic. Invitations are sent to qualifying junior golfers the week before the championship.
