Q: What does the membership fee cover?
A: The membership fee includes the extensive Membership Benefits packet (which includes several gift items, eligibility to participate in the Summer Series tournaments and the opportunity to qualify for Season-Ending Championships, access to the Fall Series and the chance to experience many special events, including the Georgia Cup, Atlanta-Kauai Team Challenge and College Day. Summer Series tournament entry fees vary by division and currently range from $15-$35 per tournament.
Q: My child has played golf at our course for 3 years and he/she knows all the Rules. Does he/she have to attend the Rules Seminar?
A: Yes. First and second-year members must attend an Orientation Seminar and a Rules Seminar, respectively. Juniors who have been members for 3 years or longer must take and pass an online Rules Quiz. Please see the Rules Education Policy for more details.
Q: How do I get a spectator cart to follow a junior golfer during an event?
A: The ability to rent a spectator cart will vary from event to event - in general, spectator carts are allowed for rental. Where carts are not available for rental, the Atlanta Junior Golf stall will attempt to make special arrangements for those who are physically disabled. Please see our Spectator Cart Policy for complete details.
Q: How should we pick the courses for our schedule?
A: Events are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We suggest you pick the days you are available to play rather than the courses you want to play. It will sometimes be necessary to drive some distance to get to a golf course. From the center of downtown, some events require up to two hours of driving time in one direction.
Q: Can I change my golfer's schedule?
A: You may change your schedule by canceling out of the event you wish to withdraw from and registering for another event. The cancellation fee for Summer Series events is $10. Cancelation fees for Season-Ending Championships, Fall Series and Special Events may be more. Refer to the Tournament Information Page of each event for further detail.
Q: When will my player get their tee times?
A: Tee times are available online by logging into your Player's Club account and viewing the tournaments you are scheduled to play. Tee times for Summer Series events are typically available ten days before your event. You will receive an email from our office detailing your tee time as soon as it is available. To view estimated tee time rangse, visit the individual Tournament Information Page.

Q: Can I change my son/daughter's tee time?
A: No. Players must play at the time that is set by the committee. Certain unusual circumstances (e.g., weather delays, a large number of player no-shows, etc.) may require you to begin your round at a slightly different time than first published. We will inform you of any changes to your tee time when you arrive to check-in at the registration table. Every effort is made to have you start your round at the time originally assigned.
Q: Does the number of competitors in an age group affect the points awarded?
A: No.
Q: How many people are invited to play in the Season-Ending Championships?
A: The number of people that are invited to participate in the Club Championship, 9-Hole Classic, and Grand Championship varies and depends on the number of people in each age division. A percentage which fairly represents each age group is invited. If one of those people cannot play, the next person on the list is invited. For example, assume there are 140 players in the 12 & Under Division and 80 players in the 13-14 Open Division. 20% of each age group is typically invited to the Grand Championship, so 28 12 & Under players will be invited and 16 13-14 players will be invited. However, due to players declining invitations, the person who finishes 30th in the 12 and Under Division may still be invited to play. Other factors that are taken into consideration include stroke averages and level of difficulty of the player's schedule.
Q: When do you decide to delay and/or cancel a daily event?
A: Any decision regarding weather delays and/or cancellations is made on-site, the day of each event, by the AJG Tournament Staff in conjunction with the golf course superintendent, golf professionals and current weather forecasts. Remember, it can be raining in one place but not in another!
Q: If an event is delayed and/or cancelled, when will the event be made up?
A: If an event is canceled due to inclement weather, that specific event will not be made up. Refunds will not be given for events that are shortened or canceled due to inclement weather. See our Inclement Weather Policy for more information.
