2011 Club Championship Details

The Club Championship returns to its long-time home at City Club Marietta again in 2011. This course challenges players of all skill levels and allows them real scoring opportunities as juniors demonstrate their skill in this Season-Ending Championship.

ELIGIBILITY/DIVISIONS:

All qualifiers must be current AJG Members. Invitations will be sent to the following individuals: (1) defending overall AJG Club Champions from the 9- or 18-Hole Club Division currently playing in the same division as the previous year and (2) remaining players qualify on points as follows (all ties for final spots in each age group qualify): 9-Hole Club Boys 12 & Under (Top 45 and ties); 9-Hole Club Boys 13 & Over (Top 27 and ties); 9-Hole Club Girls 7-18 (Top 24 and ties); 18-Hole Club Boys 13-14 (Top 36 and ties); 18-Hole Club Boys 15-18 (Top 36 and ties); 18-Hole Club Girls 7-18 (Top 18 and ties).

ENTRY FEE:

18-Hole Club Division participants - $120; 9-Hole Club Division participants - $40 (entry fee includes tee gifts, daily tournament greens fees and range balls, and prizes/awards for top finishers.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

Contestant practice rounds may be scheduled through the City Club of Marietta golf shop for Monday, July 18th or Tuesday, July 19th at a discounted rate. All players must contact the City Club of Marietta golf shop at 770.794.5619 and identify themselves as an Atlanta Junior Golf participant to arrange their own practice round tee time.

STARTING TIMES:

Starting times for round one of the 2011 Club Championship will be available online after 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 19th. Tee times for 18-Hole second rounds will be available shortly after completion of the first round. Projected tee times for all divisions are now available on the tournament information page.

FORMAT:

36 holes stroke play over two days for all 18-Hole Divisions. 9 holes stroke play over one day for all 9-Hole Divisions (July 20 only).

CADDIES, CARTS & PULL CARTS:

Caddies and/or automotive transportation are NOT allowed for any participants in this championship (EXCEPTION: players in the 9-Hole Club Division WILL be allowed a caddie.) Otherwise, players must walk and carry their own bags at all times. Player-owned pull carts ARE allowed.

DRIVING RANGE:

The practice range will open each day at 6:45 am. Range balls will be provided on the practice tee before tournament play. The driving range will be open after the round; players are responsible for range fees.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

No refunds will be given under any circumstances after 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 19. Players who cancel before 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 19 will receive a refund less a $25 administrative fee.
