MARIETTA, Ga. - The Atlanta Junior Golf Association conducted its Annual Awards Banquet Sunday night at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta. Terry Anton, the very first AJGA Grand Champion and co-founder of SNAG Golf, was the guest speaker. Terry spoke about the difference between the association when he was a player almost 27 years ago and the association today, noting in particular the number of members, the level of competition and the awarding of not only outstanding players, but also of outstanding academics. He stressed the importance of getting a college education and keeping grades up if anyone intended to play college golf. Terry also noted that college is a time to mature and develop mentally what is needed to make it as a golfer, if so desired.
